My name is Sajid Usmani and I am running in the 2011 Metro-Nashville Davidson County Council elections for Council At-Large. I currently live in Madison, TN. After graduating from St. Paul University in Minneapolis, MN, I received my MBA at the University of Phoenix here in Nashville. I am married and have two beautiful daughters who attend magnet schools in Nashville.
I have lived in this beautiful city for the past 15 years and have witnessed its growth into a diverse Metropolitan hotspot. Living in the Nashville community for over 15 years, I have been an active member in the Downtown Lions Club and the Civic-Community of Nashville. Both organizations have served the people of Nashville through many various fundraisers and volunteering efforts aimed at encouraging the prosperity of the greater Nashville community. With 23 years of experience in the financial industry, I will be able to put my expertise to work for the Nashville financial budget.
This city, along with us as its citizens, has fought through many hardships and I believe that I will be able to assist the people of Davidson County in voicing their demands and having a say in local government.
